


In 1999, Sale won an Eisner Award for Best Artist/Penciller/Inker. He is also known for his cover art, providing cover art for the series Detective Comics from issue #777-796 as well as sporadically for series like JSA, Batgirl, Adventures of Superman, Harley Quinn and The Spectre. Sale and Loeb have also worked in television, providing writing and artwork for shows like Heroes. Sale and Loeb have also done work for Marvel Comics, including what are known as the 'colour' books, such as Daredevil: Yellow, Spider-Man: Blue, Hulk: Gray and Captain America: White.

Together, they have created numerous popular series for DC Comics like the Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight Halloween Specials, Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Dark Victory, Superman for All Seasons, and Catwoman: When in Rome.
